Reporting to the Director if IT, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for developing high-performance, cross-functional IT teams that deliver innovative IT solutions. A successful candidate will have strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-management skills and be comfortable working in a dynamic environment. The candidate should be comfortable working as a Scrum Master, managing small projects, and coordinating deliverables with stakeholders outside of IT.
Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for facilitating self-organizing IT delivery team(s) to ensure the team is making progress against the Program Increment commitments
- Lead agile ceremonies to include daily Scrum standups, sprint planning, demos, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives
- Engage with the team on the completion of committed work and goals, supporting the team and removing blockers
- Ensure scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria are known for committed work
- Coordinate work kick-offs while keeping stakeholders informed and accountable for milestones, deliverables, and decisions impacting the overall project
- Manage the risk, issue, and change resolution process and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed
- Manage work timelines by overseeing the delivery of projects to ensure they are on time, within scope, and on budget
- Works with Product Managers, Program Managers, IT PMO, and business stakeholders to review and prioritize application backlogs.
- Utilize retrospectives and recorded metrics to implement change and continual improvement
- Creates a fun sharing and learning environment, experimenting with various ideas to improve delivery. Promotes teamwork to achieve sprint goals
- Work under minimal direction toward predetermined, long-range goals
- Demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in the fields of Business/Business Administration, Computer Science, Technology, or other directly related fields of study
- 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology and more formalized waterfall-style Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with design/development of web applications and SaaS products
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products, especially SharePoint, Project, and Visio.
- Ability to use current and contemporary business tools and methodologies. Experience with project management processes and tools, delivering projects timely.
- Strong teamwork and ability to work with diverse teams at multiple organizational levels and across business functions.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred:
- Scrum Master certifications and knowledge of SAFe
- PMP Certification
- Relevant experience working in IT, eCommerce, digital retail
