Reporting to the Commercial Sales Director, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing our Consultant relationships with AV Engineering, System Design, and Architectural firms in the commercial market. This role requires and individual with strong business acumen and a background in technical and relationship sales, with experience driving partner relationships with the Professional AV Consultant industry. The Business Development Manager will be calling on ProAV, Architectural, Engineering, & IT Networking/Infrastructure firms to evangelize, educate, and support potential projects with Snap One Commercial AV products and solutions. The Business Development Manager should have excellent presentation skills with the ability to constantly assess the needs of the customer while developing prospective business with the technical/AV consulting and engineering firms. 

  

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop new and existing relationships with Consultant firms; e.g. AV Engineering, Architecture, IT AV Advisory companies who provide system recommendations to end user firms
  • business forecasting, pipeline development, and management of Pro AV Consultants
  • Develop plans and forecasts for new bid-spec business development and working with the commercial sales team to identify opportunities.
  • Provide trainings, demos, and presentations to consultant firm staff
  • Assist with bids, proposals, and integration recommendations as required
  • Deliver "end-to-end" solutions and articulate Snap One strategies to AV & IT consultants, architects, engineers and key decision makers.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Marketing team to provide solutions/proposals, and drive business back thru our reseller channel to close the sale
  • Capable of multi-tasking and self-managing day-to-day scheduling
  • Estimated 50% travel to attend key customer meetings, prospecting new leads, trade shows and industry events

  

Required Qualifications  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ years’ experience in area sales, business development or related sales position
  • 3+ years’ experience in the development and sales of project-based hardware and/or software Integration solutions
  • Demonstrated track record of proven business results
  • Problem-solver with strong client/executive relationship management abilities
  • Effective presentation and demonstration skills via Teams, Zoom, etc.
  • Willing to travel up to 50%
  • Active driver’s license

  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Prior experience working with AV Consultant/Design/Engineering firms in a sales, training or partner role
  • Working knowledge of Snap One’s products and software
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, information and facilities management
  • CTS certification
  • PCNA and/or additional relevant Industry certifications preferred
