The Process Operator will report to the Manufacturing Manager and will be working in the Box Building and Paint Department. You will be responsible for utilizing tools, materials, and processes to assemble and test audio speakers. The ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with a high attention to detail are key attributes for this position. 

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work from assembly drawings, computer generated, written and/or verbal instructions to assemble audio speakers
  • Use various hand tools; hot glue guns, paint sprayers, screw drivers, plastic hammers, wrenches, pliers, cutters, nail guns, electric or pneumatic drills, electric or pneumatic hand sanders, and wood shaving tools
  • Visually scans speaker boxes or sub-assemblies for cosmetic or structural flaws
  • Perform cosmetic fixes or route to appropriate process location for rework
  • Identify any defective components for tagging and segregation
  • Assist production support personnel in identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Performs identified preventive maintenance to tools and equipment and reports any maintenance to Team Leader
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment used

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED); or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High School level general math capability
  • Must be able to operate Windows based PC
  • Ability to read and comprehend both simple and moderate complex instructions, short correspondence and memos in the English language
  • Confidently present information and/or engage in discussion in one-on-one and small group situations with team members and other employees
